I have been masturbating since I was 10 or 11. I discovered it by accident. Three years into my habit, I asked a friend and also a youth leader if it was sinful. They both said it was a sin and cited several obscure Bible references.

I sought freedom from the habit for two years after that and found none. (My abstinence record is one week!) I couldn't resist. My spirit was willing, but my flesh was weak. I fell deeper into my habit, every time feeling guilty. My relationship with God was in the gutter from all the guilt.

What is the biggest hassle you have during puberty?

Knowing that I like this one girl but she lives far away (she goes to my church which is also far away) and not being able to date her without taking a risk. And also being "lonely". Sometimes I feel like I'm wired differently. I don't have a natural predisposition to visual temptation and such, but you just describe something and I react adversely. Describe pain and I writhe in agony, describe a sexual experience and I get horny. Odd that visual stimuli doesn't have the same effect. I don't know, it is also a pain seeming so perfect moral-wise to all my friends when really I think I am totally messed up - like there is something wrong with me. Being the "loner" is kinda hard, at least I have some friends though. Oh well, they don't know the pain and they'd make fun of me if they did. Yes, for the USA, if you are uncut don't get cut out of the pressure of society. Your were born that way and why would you fix something that is not broken. Also if you are thinking about having sex make sure it is with someone who you get on well with and have a good trusting relationship together. This is what happened with my ex-girlfriend and i and it was a really positive thing. A lot of my friends guys and girls have regretted having sex with the wrong person. It is a great thing but it is worth waiting for the right person.
